RTI purpose is to deliver a continuous stream of new and compelling intelligence and extraction projects to change the game in unlocking new natural resources to benefit humanity, generate value with fundamentally new approaches, to all stakeholders over the long term.
The successful candidate must have the ability to contribute to projects using a range of structural geological techniques and methodologies, inclusive of advanced structural geological mapping in the field and software aided numerical analyses (including fracture and kinematic modelling).
You must also have a demonstrable understanding of all Petroleum Geoscience disciplines, to independently and accurately generate and interpret data and the prepare professional reports.
You will be expected to work independently on single structural geological work and multi-disciplinary projects, both in the office and the field, as well as accurately generate and interpret data.
Proposal writing and the management of projects, inclusive of integrated studies, will also be required, in addition to conducting research and delivering training for oil and gas companies, related to oil and gas exploration.

Previous roles should include a strong technical grounding in structural geology and geological analysis and synthesis.
The Structural Geologist will provide structural geological data analysis and interpretation for various geological context across the world (Basins and basement).
The successful candidate must have the ability to contribute to projects using a range of structural geological techniques and methodologies:
? Working on Structural Field Mapping;
? Evaluating data using 3D geological and geotechnical modelling;
? Compilation of GIS database;
? Work on structural data interpretation;
? Conduct desktop studies on opportunities and risks identification ;
? Train and mentor junior geologists;
? Structural geology report writing;
? Investigating the structure and evolution of the earth and its natural resources;
? Preferably possess field, wireline and seismic interpretation skills in geophysics.
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Earth Sciences with structural geology or engineering geology focus;
• Master’s Degree will be advantageous 8 to 10 years’ engineering or structural geology experience depending on highest qualification achieved;
• Exploration geology experience will be advantageous;
• Good computer skills in related packages (Leapfrog and ArcGIS or equivalent);
• A strong understanding of geological mapping principles;
• A strong understanding of structural geology;
• Ability to prepare geologic cross sections over potential hydrogeologic targets.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills;
• Able to work independently, organise work under pressure and in a timely manner;
• Attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills are essential for this role;
• Fluent in English and French will be advantageous;
• Technically ambitious.
